Know Your Trailer Types...
Roller Series

Two popular types of roller trailers are cluster and
keel/chine support. Roller trailers are better suited for those
who trailer the boat frequently and use boat ramps they are
unfamiliar with. Proper operation requires most of the trailer to be
out of the water so the weight of the boat will cause it to center
properly. The more rollers, the better for the boat and the trailer.
Many different qualities and prices.
Bunk Series

Usually have pivoting carpeted bunks connected to the
frame with bunk or bolster brackets for adjustment and keel
rollers up the center. More common for boats under 20 feet but
make excellent storage trailers for all boats. Bunks can be
replaced with roller bunks for easy launching and retrieving.
Less expensive than roller trailers.
Submersible Series

Otherwise known as (drive-on) or (float-on). A low profile
trailer better suited for long term storage or the person who has
a slip or mooring and is familiar with the ramp conditions.
Generally easy to load and unload. A low maintenance trailer that
stores the hull as recommended by most boat manufacturers. Very low cost compared to other
types.
Custom Series

A bunk type trailer built and set-up by manufacturer
specifications. Usually found under bass boats and
performance boats like off shore racing boats. They have non-
adjustable bunks and are generally painted steel. Not as
inexpensive as we would like.
